We have been working super hard to create a more beautiful looking landscape and greenhouse area. Check out what we have done in just a matter of two weekends!!!!!
Our first project was the front garden bed which still needs mulching and a few more pansies! The second project was restoring the greenhouse to be usable for the botany classes, all science classes, and any other student group that needs it:

Phase 1: Garden Beds
Marlen Cannon with daughter, Nicole Cannon, Autumn Fingerson, and Yashisvi Saxena weeding out 4 garden beds.

Sridhar Yelakanti, Vishal Saxena, Sateesh Pallopothu, and Summesh Payyatakkath all helped with the final weed removal inside the greenhouse plus additional weeds in 3 beds. Also they assisted with the front garden bed, except for Vishal who oversaw the indoor greenhouse work! Thanks so much to all of you and your children!

Thank you to Yelakanti boy, Santosh Pallapothu , and Haridev Payyatakkath! They helped out front in the back weeding out garden beds and moving the weeds out, plus also trimming and weeding out front!

Thank you to the Cannon Family, especially Ryan who spent most of his time pushing a wheelbarrow full of weeds as removed them off the premises!
Another special thanks to Lan Luo and her son Jason Zhao - they did an incredible job helping with all those weeds in the garden beds by the greenhouse. In all they weeded out 7 beds!

Phase 2: Greenhouse - Before Pictures (October 2, 2021)
This is what it looked like on the right side when you entered. You will see lots of grime on the floor!

This is what it looks like when you entered in on the left hand side, but in the next picture below - you will see that there is no more pots on the right hand side! Kriti is pictured here - she is actually moving items in and out right now to get everything out of the greenhouse during the second phase!

We all took turns sweeping and sweeping and sweeping!

The floors were covered in piles of black dirt and green algae.

Phase 2: After Pictures (October 2, 2021)
Just look at how this place is so clean now! We still have pots on the left side to organize and to clean down the grime under and above the tables, but we are almost finished. Becky brought all supplies back in to the Greenhouse on Monday to prevent damage to them as it rained later that day!
The greenhouse roofs and panels shine as well! Ramesh cleaned off the entire inside! Now we will need to clean off the outside with the pressure washer on another day!
This area where the water was located had lots of black grime and green algae growing - not anymore! This is typical to start growing in a Greenhouse. All the Covid grime is gone!

Cleaned all the pots on this side - it is actually all the right side of the greenhouse when you walk in from the front black fence!

Ramesh and Kriti Kurogoda pictured outside of the clean greenhouse. Ramesh power washed almost the entire greenhouse. Kriti helped move everything out and organize pots and more. She also swept and swept the floor as we cleaned it up!

Prakash helped clean up the inside of the enclosed white fenced area, so we could set all the dirty pots out of the clean greenhouse to prevent disease! It is so exciting to see what we are getting done!

So with the new White enclosed area, we were able to now create an area for supplies! All pots are arranged by size. Next step - create a system for us to sterilize pots for teachers to use with classes!
