8th Grade Legacy Project 2022-2023: PTSA is planning a garden for the bus loop.
If you are a parent or a student and are interested in assisting with planting and executing this project, please provide feedback regarding the best weekends in May to plant:
NOTE: The current phase that we are in will always be colored in dark Green. All other phases, will be of a lighter Gray color to determine where we are at!
First Phase - Gravel Removal:
8th Grade Garden Legacy Project:
Wednesday, May 3rd from 2:45 - 4:30 pm.
BRING: gloves, hand shovels or large shovels for digging, and strainers if possible.
TASK: We will be straining out the gravel rocks that have sunk down in the soil and placing them temporarily on one other bed. If time… we will be weeding the current bed to the right of the 8th Grade Legacy Bed to prevent any MOWING of the CURRENT FLOWERS!!!!

Third Phase - Purchasing the Plants:
1. We need to purchase plants online and at the Fairview Store.
Dates of Purchase: TBA

Fourth Phase- Planting Days:
1. Soil Modification: Adding soil and fertilizer.
2. Organizing the plants according to the chart.
3. Placing the plants in the ground.
4. Add mulch and replace the rocks.

Fifth Phase - Watering Schedule:
1. A team of 8th grade students will need to water the plants regularly.
Sixth Phase - Dedication of the Garden:
1. 8th Grade students and families will be invited to dedicate the garden to the school. Date of dedication to be announced!
